  Marques DeShields scored on a short run midway through the fourth quarter and went over 100 yards when Rhode Island ran out the clock to beat Maine 26-22 on Saturday. DeShields, who finished with 110 yards, capped a 75-yard drive. The defense then forced a three-and-out and with DeShields carrying six times, including a fourth-down conversion, the Rams ate up the final 5 minutes, 25 seconds of the game. Kasim Hill ran for two touchdowns and passed for one for Rhode Island (6-3, 4-2 Colonial Athletic Association), which had lost 14 straight to the Black Bears (2-7, 2-4) and 19 of the last 20. It was the 100th meeting between the two schools with Maine leading the series 62-35-3.

Maine led 13-7 at halftime as Cody Williams kicked a 46-yard field goal as time expired. Hill, who connected with Ed Lee for a 63-yard touchdown in the first half, had a pair of touchdown runs in the third quarter to put Rhode Island up 20-19. Williams connected from 39 yards to put the Black Bears on top 22-20 with 9:33 to play. Lee had eight catches for 190 yards.   Marques DeShields had 234 yards of total offense with four touchdowns and Rhode Island made the only conversion in the seventh overtime, defeating Monmouth 48-46 on Saturday. Rhode Island stopped a 2-point pass in the seventh overtime, then Ed Lee caught a pass from Kasim Hill to win it for the Rams. DeShields had 161 yards rushing with two touchdowns and 73 yards receiving with two more touchdowns. His 73-yard catch-and-run tied it at 35 late in the fourth quarter and the score remained the same at the end of regulation. Hill completed 14 of 24 passes for 352 yards with three touchdowns but was intercepted three times. Lee had four receptions for 120 yards for the Rams (5-2, 3-1 Colonial Athletic Association). Monmouth's Tony Muskett was 18-of-29 passing for 249 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. With the game tied at 10-10, Martin returned an interception 16 yards for a TD to put the Rams ahead with 8:37 to play.   Kasim Hill dove into the end zone on a 7-yard run in the closing seconds of the third quarter to tie the game and Jarrett Martin picked off a Matthew McKay pass at the 16 and scored the go-ahead touchdown midway through the fourth to give Rhode Island a 17-10, come-from-behind win to knock Elon out of a share of first place in the Colonial Athletic Association on Saturday. Jalen Hampton scored on a 4-yard run, capping a 12-play, 75-yard drive to give Elon a 10-3 lead at intermission.

The Phoenix stopped the Rams at the Elon 15 with 6:30 to go in the third quarter then blocked a 32-yard field goal attempt by Harrison Leonard. Rhode Island forced a three-and-out and Hill engineered a seven-play, 57-yard drive to tie the score, squirting between pass rushers in the backfield and diving over for the tying score. The teams traded punts. McKay threw incomplete from the Elon 11 and his third-down throw was picked off by Martin, who had dropped into coverage and ran untouched into the end zone for the game-winning score. Hill finished 17 of 29 for 201 yards passing and added 73 yards on 13 carries for Rhode Island (4-2, 2-1).   Kasim Hill threw two touchdown passes to Caleb Warren, Marques DeShields ran for two touchdowns and Rhode Island rolled to a 38-10 win over Brown on Saturday night. All the damage was done in the first half as twice the Rams defense stopped the Bears on downs while snagging a pair of interceptions and recovering a fumble. Although Rhode Island was quiet on offense after the break, a third interception, a second fumble recovery and another fourth-down failure stymied the Bears until a late touchdown. Hill went 15 of 27 for 257 yards, hitting favorite target Kahtero Summers six times for 112 yards. Warren had three catches for 83 yards with both of his touchdowns, covering 28 and 26 yards, coming in the final minute of the first half following interceptions. DeShields rushed 11 times for 109 yards with touchdowns covering 21 and 12 yards. The win gave Rhode Island (3-2) a 21-19 lead in the Governor's Cup and three-straight wins, but the Bears still lead the 106-game series 73-31-2.   Kasim Hill threw two long touchdown passes in the second quarter to spark Rhode Island to a 35-21 victory over Bryant on Saturday. Rhode Island (2-0) trailed 7-6 when Hill fired a 78-yard scoring strike to Ed Lee and followed with a 63-yarder to Kahtero Summers to put the Rams up 20-7 with 5:28 left in the first half. Zevi Eckhaus, who had an 18-yard TD toss to Derick Eugene in the first quarter, hit Anthony White for a 7-yard score to get the Bulldogs within 20-14 at halftime.

Marques DeShields added a 16-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and Jaylen Smith scored on a 50-yard run midway through the final period to put Rhode Island up 33-14. Jake Fire sacked Eckhaus in the end zone for a safety with 2:06 remaining to cap the scoring. Hill completed 14 of 21 passes for 290 yards with one interception for the Rams. Lee caught five passes for 135 yards. DeShields rushed for 105 yards on 16 carries, while Smith ran for 89 on nine carries. A redshirt senior, Schaum-Bartocci has excelled over the last three season, handling the punting and holder roles for the last 26 games.
